Dr. Horrible's Sing-ALong

OMG!!!!! I'm so thrilled that I stumbled across this at Emma Petersen's blog a link to the Dr. Horrible's Sing-ALong Blog. I tried to view it once before but couldn't. YAY!!!! Neil Patrick Harris (a.k.a. Doogie Howser) is in it and has an amazing voice.
This is hilarious. It's a prime example of why I LOVE Joss Whedon. My favorite quote so far? "I have a Ph.D. in horribleness."

2008 Olympics
I wasn't going to watch the Olympics this year, but Nastia Liukin is the reason why. I know the commentators are all about Shawn Johnson right now. Don't get me wrong. Shawn Johnson is a wonderful athlete; her performance on the beam was beautiful and really helped the US team get that silver. But I'm still a Liukin fan.
She's just amazing on the parallel bars. I remember having to do gymnastics in middle school for gym class and what little I did was fun, but I always looked at the parallel bars with terror. Just seeing gymnastics leap from one bar to the other, flip through the air makes me cringe because I'm so afraid someone will fall.
So this post was just my meandering way to say that yes, I am watching this year's US Women's Olympic team and I'm rooting for Nastia in the all around category.

The Big Read
I just heard about this amazing thing called The Big Read, an initiative by the BBC National Endowment for the Arts, has estimated that the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books they’ve printed. I did it and posted my results over at my main site, www.michellelaurenbooks.com. To see how your results stack up, check it out by clicking this link or by clicking the picture below.
